JOE THE MARKETING GENIUS

In a little reported appearance at a conservative rally in Milwaukee, Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, aka "Joe the Plumber," whacked Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele for trying to hip-hopify conservatism.

"Unfortunately, we have a chairman up there who wants to redefine conservatism; he wants to make it hip hop, put it in a new package and sell it," Wurzelbacher said. "You can't sell principles; either you have them or you don't." The comments were met with applause from most of the 800 in attendance.

Well, add 'consultant' to the list of things Joe Wurzelbacher doesn't do well. That's a little quote that proves that Those Who Do Not Learn From The Past Are Condemned To Lose Elections Over And Over..

Of course you can sell principles, ideas, and candidates. That's exactly what Steele should be doing as head of the RNC. It's nice to see that he's going to be undermined by his base, especially in a blatantly racist way.
